I am Peter Woods, a strategic technology leader with over two decades of experience dedicated to driving operational excellence and innovation across high-volume digital platforms. As a leader, I have had the privilege of shaping and guiding high-performing teams across major organizations, including IT at Vanderbilt University, Shutterfly, Barrick Gold, DNSFilter, and CreditOne Bank. I even spent some time doing research at the NASA Subsonic Wind Tunnel at NASA Langley Research Center. I am currently managing a very talented platform engineering for Pearson.

Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in cloud migration, automation, and DevOps practices. From container orchestration to large-scale database operations, I've consistently delivered results while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. My expertise lies in Agile methodologies, ITIL best practices, and a deep understanding of various technologies. I am proficient in RedHat Linux, skilled in navigating cloud environments like AWS, GCP, and Azure, and adept at leveraging DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack. I have deployed and managed Kubernetes in multiple environments. Additionally, I am a strong advocate for effective monitoring and data management. I have experience with a wide range of tools, including the ELK Stack, Prometheus, and various databases, ensuring optimal system performance and security. Beyond my technical skills, I believe in the power of clear communication and collaboration.
