I noticed the other day that the Amazon re:Invent logo on my hoodie was backwards. My motion capture setup was mirroring my desk setup. It wasn't a big bug, but it was a bit annoying so I decided to fix the glitch.
There are a few steps in the image capture process where I can fix the image - at the camera, during motion capture, during frame extraction, or during tagging. My camera setup does not support mirroring the RTSP stream so that option is out, and mirroring the stream at capture time is computationally expensive (especially on older hardware). I chose to flip the image while I was watermarking the image and updating the EXIF data.
While I was in there, I also grabbed a frame from the middle of the video clip capture rather than just picking a static frame number. I have been occasionally publishing up an empty image because I was pulling a frame too early in the clip. I'm hoping this fixes those empty frames.
